poopy buisiness

well.... I don't want to gross you out...so if you have a weak stomach don't read on. :)
I was getting Zoë ready for bed tonight. You know, the usual feed, burp, change etc. I called down to Paul to see if he would like to do the duty of putting our little girl to bed for the last time because I was leaving the next morning. So Paul came and took the baby and went to change her clothes for bed and check the diaper. Well, I was in the other room and I heard..."ahhh...ahhhhh....AHHHHH!!!" I was like? what in the world is going on? Poor Paul had taken his finger and checked Zoë's diaper and low and behold... she was poopy!! He had poop all over his fingers. So I came up laughing trying to help him. :-) He said that he learned his lesson and will never check a diaper that way again.

A lot going on

I don't really know what this post is supposed to be about except to say that there is a lot of spiritual warfare going on right now. I never feel quite adequate to deal with things and that is a lie. I may not be able but Christ through me is ALWAYS able. I was thinking tonight how quickly we can become stagnate in our daily walk with Christ if we are not putting on the armor of Christ. It is a conscience, daily habit that you must get into. I want to be a good example of what it is to be a follower of Christ to my daughter Zoë and to people around me. That means that I should not "fake" a walk with Christ... I mean, I know that I am saved, but how is Christ rising from the dead changing the way I live daily? How I treat people? How I serve? etc. etc. Just my thoughts tonight.

We ate with Gloria and Ron and Maddie at a great Thai restaurant in Silverton OR. The food was wonderful and they gave us a free dessert. Well it was like Tapioca and it was not Paul's thing. Here he is holding a "gel" ball as he called it.

Boy do I LOVE having the chance to be with my grandparents at their house. They are so wonderful. I have so many great memories with them growing up. I love that everything in Oregon is so familiar to me. I can think through the years and think of all the different things that I did during certain years. So many great memories with family. I think that I take for granted that I have FANTASTIC grandparents on both sides of my family. They are all so caring, encouraging and loving. They all pray for us and enjoy us. I am seriously blessed. I have beautiful memories. I am thankful that Zoë has a wonderful family to love her and create memories with her on my side and on Paul's side. Thank you Lord! Yesterday we drove around Oregon and listened as my grandma told us about life growing up. Where she lived, where her family is buried, how she and grandpa met... it was really sweet and I love hearing it all. I took a ride with my grandpa today, just me and him. It is precious to me to be able to spend time with him. I was bare foot and fancy free as we listened to 40's songs on grandpa's XM radio as he drove me around in his new car. :-) I felt like a little kid again. I TREASURE the moments that I can spend with both sets of grandparents. I wish that I could see them more often. One set is in Oregon and one set goes to a different church so I don't get to see either one all that much, but when I do I soak up the time. I wish I had time to write down all my memories. I know that I will lose some as time passes but I won't lose the good feeling that comes from knowing that I and my family are loved and prayed for. :-)
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Strutz and Grandpa and Grandma Camp for making my childhood and life richer for knowing you and spending time with you. I LOVE YOU ALL!!
